Cartographies of memory
Memoria (De)colonial began as a collaborative and participatory archive that maps colonial commemorations in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean through a (de)colonial lens. We have expanded and continue to expand our digital archives of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.

DIGItal library of the caribbean
Since May 2025, Memoria Decolonial has been part of the Digital Library of the Caribbean (dLOC), a collaborative digital archive that brings together Caribbean collections with an open and decolonizing approach.
Our collection includes publications, public interventions, educational documents, and visual materials that denounce colonialism, militarism, and the whitewashing of history. Through dLOC, these materials are now freely available to researchers, students, and communities within and beyond the Caribbean.
This collaboration reaffirms our commitment to open access, anti-racist education, and the circulation of uncomfortable yet urgent memories. Thank you to dLOC for adding this archive to a network that resists oblivion.
